What is AskAStudent?

There are a lot of steps in the process to becoming a student at SFCC. We want to make sure you meet all the requirements successfully. If you have any questions about the new student process—from how to schedule online appointments to take the placement test, to how to log in to the financial aid portal, to how to use Plan My Schedule to register for the classes an academic advisor or counselor has advised you to take—AskAStudent can answer them

How does AskAStudent work?

AskAStudent connects you to an experienced, successful current SFCC student who knows the ropes, can answer your questions, and can direct you to the resources you need. Click on the AskAStudent link to send an email with your question, and our students will reply within 24 hours with an answer. If you’d like more help, AskAStudents are also available to meet with you one-on-one.

Who is AskAStudent for?

AskAStudent is for anyone who has applied for admission to SFCC but has not yet enrolled. AskAStudent can walk you through the process from application to the first day of classes. If you’re in your first quarter at SFCC and would like an experienced student to guide you and answer questions, we can match you with a Peer Mentor.
