Title: Pride
Description:

Our third film is a showing of Pride, from England. Based on a true story, gay activists help miners during their lengthy strike against the National Union of Mineworkers in 1984. The activists are sympathetic because they feel that they feel the same oppression as the miners. With a big dose of comedy, the film perfectly captures homophobia, bigotry, ignorance and curiosity about the LGBT community.
