| Security Alert: Marijuana | Use or possession of marijuana is a violation of the Washington Administrative code.
We have recently had incidents and reports of individuals smoking marijuana in their vehicles on campus. As a reminder use or possession of marijuana is a violation of the Washington Administrative Code.
MARIJUANA
Marijuana, although now deemed “legal” (I-502) in Washington State is still prohibited on campus. The restriction on marijuana use on our campus, in any form, is similar to the restrictions regarding the use of alcohol. Alcohol consumption and use is legal in the state of Washington, but CCS restricts its use and possession on our Facilities. In addition, the new marijuana law is not consistent with Federal law and because of Federal financial aid laws etc., we must conform to Federal rules or our Campus is at risk losing its federal funding.
