New Building Facility Reservation Policy
The Community Colleges of Spokane is implementing a new system for streamlining and being more effective with our
reservation systems. Previous systems (Outlook, paper binders, etc.) have had a multitude of problems attached that have
ended in time consuming answers. This newest system will eliminate the bulk of these problems and allow us to better serve
our students, faculty, and guests.
How to Create a Reservation
Go to SCC Resource Scheduler. If it is your first time
creating a reservation with the new system, click “Add”. Input and submit your information. Your information will allow us
to easily communicate with you about your event through email or phone.
To check the availability of a room and time frame: select the dropdown on the left-hand side and choose the building in
which you would like to reserve. Click “Free/Busy”. This will pop-up a new window and show you the current day. The blue
markings are times that are blocked off. Click the calendar button
(
) or
input your own date to see the availability.
When you have found a date, close out of the popup window and click “New Request” near the top left of the main screen.
A new popup window will walk you through creating a room request. Please remember that these are only requests and still
have to be approved by the building event coordinator. From then on communication will be between the events office and
with you.
Reservation Guidelines
Students get first priority. CCS is a place of education, growth, and development and in every interaction; students have
to come first.
Due to the high volume of requests and limited amount of conference space, the room you want may not always be available.
It is a first come, first serve basis. We will work with you as best as we can in helping your event succeed, but please
remain reflexible as we look for the best interest for everyone and for the college.
Be specific in your requests in describing how you would like the room setup. If you will need equipment such as a
microphone, podium, projector, or laptop please specify. Additionally, please describe the kind of room arrangement you
would prefer. (i.e. classroom style for 50, theater style for 75, round tables for 200, etc.)
After you have submitted your request, please allow 48 hours to process. Then check back on the resource scheduler page to
find out whether your event was approved or denied.
