Welcome to the Spanish Web pages. SFCC offers two full years (six quarters) of Spanish: Elementary Spanish (SPAN 121, 122, 123) and Intermediate Spanish (SPAN 221, 222, 223). Students need not begin with Spanish I; students who have previous experience with Spanish can contact Bonnie Brunt for more advanced placement. Language Assistant: Every year SFCC brings a native assistant in Spanish from the Universidad del Valle in Cali, Columbia, to team-teach in our Spanish program.

Summer Study Abroad in Spain: SFCC students have the opportunity to spend two, three or four weeks in Salamanca, Spain and earn up to 7 credits in Spanish.

Spanish Club: An active Spanish club meets every Friday at 1 PM to play games and practice Spanish together, as well as plan events that promote the cultures of Spanish-speaking groups of people.

International Language Center: Students can enhance their language skills by utilizing the software available in the International Language Center (Bldg. 5, Room 105). Programs in Spanish include Atajo, Before You Know It, EduOle, Spanish Workshop and Grammar Tutor by Idiom Software.
