The Small Business Management program is designed to enable the beginning student
to start successfully and operate his/her own business, to assist the person who
owns a small business to improve and upgrade his/her skills, and/or to prepare students
for employment in small business firms.
Program Highlights
An opportunity to complete many of the preparatory steps in starting a business
while attending class, including the preparation of a professional business plan,
developing marketing techniques, understanding financing for small business operations,
handling human relations situations, and studying different management styles.

Program Objectives
The objectives of this program are to educate students in the techniques and principles
of owning, operating and managing a small business, to make current small business
owners more effective and efficient in their operations, and to provide support
courses for other vocational programs. These objectives will be accomplished through
concentrating on specific small business knowledge and skills.
