Ira joined the full time teaching staff at SFCC in 1998. His professional background
includes having been a commercial and portrait photographer, graphic designer, and
a nationally recognized studio management software developer and consultant.
"After spending the first five years of my career doing commercial projects I discovered
that photographing people was more rewarding for me because I was creating images
that brought joy for a lifetime."
Teaching portraiture, digital imaging, and business practices at SFCC has been a
homecoming of sorts, as Ira studied photography here and received an A.A. degree
and then went on to complete a B.A. in Communications and Journalism at Eastern
Washington University.

A retired military officer, Greg has studied and photographed all over the world.
He holds a masters degree in philosophy and has taught philosophy, photography,
and computer programming classes. Greg has also worked in digital imaging for the
last 15 years.
Greg is currently running our adult non credit continuing education program two
nights a week.
