Certificate
The Brief Computing-Software Applications Certificate is designed to meet the the
growing need for computer skills. Students and members of the business community
need computer training for current and future employment. The program is designed
to be "generic", which supplements a two-year degree program or as a stand-alone
certificate for those already in the working world. The student must have career
goals or a profession in which to apply the computer skills gained through the certificate
program.
The primary goal of the certificate program is to teach students to use the computer
for daily business operations. Special attention is given to "hands-on" experience
using popular software applications.
The certificate will indicate to the employer that the certificate holder has the
skills to effectively utilize a computer.
This certificate is intended to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge
required for entry-level positions in business.
