A.A.S. Degree
The social service program is designed for those who plan to seek employment in
social services upon completion of the two-year program, or who wish to transfer
to a four-year institution and complete a bachelor's degree.
The social service program leads to:
- An associate of arts (A.A.) degree that is for those who wish to transfer to a
four-year college and complete a bachelor’s degree, OR
- An associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degree designed for those who plan to
seek employment in social services upon completion of the two-year program.
Those who have completed the A.A.S. program will have acquired the necessary skills
to work in various public and private social services programs. This degree also can
serve as a transfer degree to four-year colleges. See program adviser for more information.
