for trained audio technicians. Beyond the Spokane area, opportunities in film, post
production, large festivals and touring shows are numerous. According to the Bureau
of Labor and Statistics (BLS) employment predictions, jobs for sound engineering
technicians will increase by 25 percent from 2002-2012.
How much can I earn?
Income varies dramatically within the industry. Starting hourly wages can range
from $16 to $22 while successful recording studio engineers and producers can make
well over $100,000 per year.
