About the Theatre

Located in the Communications Building, Bldg. 5, the 212-seat Spartan Theatre is an ideal place to spend a captivating evening experiencing plays produced by the SFCC Drama Department.

Spartan Theatre The Theatre features a recently installed digital lighting system, new seating and carpeting, complete wardrobe and makeup facilities, and a set design and construction workshop. The Drama Department performs three to seven major productions per year.

Long Day's Journey into Night  performed by the Actor's Repertory Theatre
Considered O'Neill's masterpiece and perhaps the greatest American play of all time. Long Day's Journey Into Night follows the haunted Tyrone family through a shattering day and night, as they battle their demons, their pasts, and one another.
Dates: September 21 - October 7
Lysistrata by Aristophanes
Athens and Sparta are engaged in an endless war. Lysistrata plots a crafty solution using gender politics and unites the women of Athens in a general sex strike to force the soldiers to come to their senses. Adult language and situations.
Dates: Nov. 1-3 & 8-10 at 7:30 PM

She considered herself the greatest diva of her age ... Unfortunately, she couldn't sing a note. This recent Off-Broadway hit comedy is the hilarious and touching true story of legendary incapable coloratura Florence Foster Jenkins, who sang everywhere from her living room to Carnegie Hall, and all to the derisive delight of the rich and famous. A laugh filled treat for music lovers and opera haters alike.
