I am a second year student at Spokane Falls Community College serving as student body president for this 2011/2012 academic year. I moved to Spokane two years ago from the capital city of Jordan; Amman, where I was I born and raised for most of my life. Once I complete my Associate of Arts degree this spring, I plan to transfer to a four-year university and obtain a degree in political science and international law which I then hope to take with me to Jordan someday. I am motivated, ambitious, and open-minded. I really enjoy getting to know people and learning about their diverse cultures (and no I’m not just saying this for the sake of taking up more space, but because I really am interested in furthering my understanding of as many people and places as I can). I encourage everyone reading this to come visit our student government office in building 17, whether it’s to share any concerns you may have or even need help with writing a report on Jordan; I’ll be more than willing to help.

I’m Katherine Ridley, the Academic Vice-President! I’m in my third year at the Falls. I grew up in Spokane, and went to Lewis and Clark high school downtown. I was a running start student here my senior year. Last year I was the club representative for anime club, creative writing club, and gamer’s club on the Activities Board. I’m also a member of the debate team, and last winter was my first quarter doing debate. My intended major is currently BFA in Digital Art and Animation.

Ahoy! I’m Nick Boe, and I’m the Associated Student Secretary! This is my second year here at the Falls. I’ve been involved with clubs on the campus since my first quarter here, including Gamers Club, Anime Club, Speech and Debate Club, and Creative Writing Club. As you can probably guess from my club involvement, I’m a huge nerd. I type over a hundred words a minute, so if you ever attend a meeting I’m taking minutes for, you’ll probably be weirded out by the fact that I’m more or less typing what people say verbatim, on a good day. After I get my AA, I’m planning to transfer to a film school, and become a film major, with intentions to go in to the television industry as an editor.

I’ve lived in Spokane for only a few short years but I have grown to love all of Spokane and its wonders. I enjoy mountain climbing, skydiving, and living in Spokane. I love to spend as much time as I can with my son in all of the great parks here in town. I am a visual arts student earning two degrees; one in Photography and one in Business Administration. This year I opened my photography business (www.delaneypaulphotogrphy.com) as well as accepted the position of Director of Marketing for the A.S.G. Since I have been attending SFCC, I have become involved with the Photo Arts Club, as the Vice President, and as the AS Rep for the Activities Board. My goal is to make advertisements that student will enjoy reading and find very informative. If you see me around, say hi.

I was born in the city of San Luis Potosi, S.L.P., Mexico on January 11th 1989. I lived 20 years in my native city, as well as studied all up to high school. I helped my parents for 3 years at their businesses, on paying the bills of water, light, and banks. Between does years I took several classes, like French, Italian, and course training for Medicine University. At the beginning of last year I went to Canada at the ILSC institution from TOEFL test training. Last fall I moved to Spokane Washington to star my studies so I can be a chiropractor.

Hello everyone, my name is Fangyu Wu, but I go by Lucy, because it’s easy to remember. I am from Guizhou, China. I have been lived in China for most of my life. I moved to Spokane in 2009 for college. I went Spokane community college for ESL, and then I started my academic career at Spokane Falls community college. Now it’s my second year in SFCC. My major is business, so I am taking business classes as much as I can and try to fit them all in the AA degree. My dream is to own a small English school for little kids in China someday.
