What is a degree audit?
A degree audit compares completed, in progress and transfer coursework against program
requirements. A report is generated that reflects your coursework compared to the
requirements of your declared degree program. This is an unofficial evaluation;
it should be used only as a tool to assist you and an advisor in planning future
coursework.
To receive an official evaluation you must apply for graduation. Application
forms are available in the Admissions office, or download the
online Graduation Form.
How current is the information in the audit?
The information in your audit is updated twice a month, more often during registration
periods and after every grading period.
What if the degree program indicated on the audit is incorrect or I’ve decided to
earn a different degree?
The audit reflects information you submitted to the Admissions office. To revise
your choice of degree program you must submit a Student Intent Code Change
form to the Admissions office.
Why isn’t all my transfer coursework being used?
A full evaluation of transfer credits will occur only if you submit a request form
to the Admissions office. If you do not submit the request only pre-requisite courses
will be considered. Additionally, only those courses that apply to your stated degree
plan will be evaluated. Official copies of your transfer transcript must currently
be on file in the Admissions office.
Why won’t DegreeWorks produce an audit for me?
DegreeWorks will determine audits for students who are currently enrolled or who
have attended SFCC anytime after Fall 2001. If you attended before that time an
audit will not be produced until you become an active student again.
