Program Description

Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) has an articulation agreement with the University of North Dakota. This challenging two-year program articulates with several programs and degrees offered through the University of North Dakota's Center for Aerospace Sciences. SFCC students can complete their first two years of a four-year bachelor's degree in any of the following majors:

• Air Traffic Control, BS
• Air Transport, BS
• Airport Management, BBA
• Aviation Management, BBA
• Aviation Systems Management, BS
• Commercial Aviation, BS
• Flight Education, BS
• Meteorology, BS and MS

At the end of two years, students will have earned the following pilot licenses:

• Commercial Pilot License
• Instrument Rating
• Multi-Engine Rating
• Private Pilot License

Course of Study

• Students should acquire a minimum of 90 credits before transferring to the University of North Dakota (UND).
• Following this course outline will allow you to earn all accepted articulation credits prior to transferring to UND. All classes have been reviewed and deemed transferrable, and count towards the 125 semester credit hours required for graduation at UND. At the end of the SFCC track, the student will have satisfied almost all UND general required undergraduate (core) discipline classes and will transfer as a junior.
• UND graduation requirements include two quarters of a foreign language. If the student's schedule allows, these courses can be taken while at SFCC. See aviation counselor.
• If you are not able to complete each class within the prescribed term, it could affect your ability to transfer as a junior or the number of terms it takes to complete the articulation agreement.

Degrees from the programs listed above offer a multitude of career options including airline pilot to corporate pilot, air traffic controller, airline executive, meteorologist, space professional, airport manager and more.

Currently, there is an increasing demand for qualified pilots and air traffic controllers - a trend that is expected to last into the future.
