Our History  SFCC honors its heritage as a Native American encampment and as an outpost for the U.S. Army dating back to the late 1800's. "Spokane" is the name given to one of many tribes of native people who have lived in this area for a very long time. Translated it can mean: The People, People of the Sun, or The Place Where The People Of The Sun Live.
