Communications/Playhouse Building

The Communications Building and the Spartan Playhouse were built in 1967 at the same time as the majority of the SFCC campus was constructed. Since that time it has expanded from its original footprint to include a Foreign Language Laboratory, a film studies room, a center for teaching and learning, and a new scenic construction shop.

Recently the theater installed a new $130,000.00 digital lighting system with cyber lights as well as new seating and carpeting. The theatre department performs three to seven major productions per year.
