Steps for admission if you have attended college previously but are new to SFCC
- Obtain an application for admission in one of the following ways:
- Complete the application and submit it in one of the following ways:
- If you apply online, submit the online application as instructed. Be sure to make
a note of your assigned Student ID number (SID). Mail the $15 nonrefundable fee
to the address below. Be sure to include your SID on the check.
- Mail paper-based applications, together with the $15 nonrefundable fee, to the
address below.

- Click for instructions to
transfer credits to SFCC. Request that transcripts from other colleges are sent
to the above address. Transcripts are required for general advising, prerequisite
checking, and for credits used toward graduation. Transcripts must be received no
later than two weeks before your registration date in order to be evaluated.
- You will receive a letter from the Admissions Office regarding your admission
status, which will include instructions about assessment, advising and your registration
appointment.
- Follow instructions given by the New Student Entry Center in regards to
placement testing, advising and registration appointment. If placement testing
is required, there is a $20 fee which must be paid before the test is taken.
- You will receive instructions on how sign up for New Student Orientation and how
to register for classes.
- Pay for tuition by due date.
