SFCC offers two full years (six quarters) of Spanish: Elementary Spanish (SPAN 121, 122, 123) and Intermediate Spanish (SPAN
221, 222, 223).
Students need not begin with Spanish I; students who have previous experience with Spanish can contact Gabriel Valenzuela for
more advanced placement.
- The first-year sequence is available in the daytime and online.
Classes are offered in sequence, so students who want to take the entire first-year sequence need to take Spanish I during
fall quarter, Spanish II during winter quarter, and Spanish III during spring quarter.
The second-year sequence is only available during the daytime and is offered in sequence: Spanish IV during fall quarter,
Spanish V during winter quarter, and Spanish VI during spring quarter.
- All of our Spanish courses are offered in August through our study abroad in Spain.
