There is a lot to see out there, many people to meet, and many stories to be told and heard. That was my motivation when I first started studying my major at Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia. I wanted to learn other languages that would broaden my horizons and would let me walk the world crossing cultural and language boundaries. Though I have traveled a lot in the past few years, I do not know what it is like to live in a foreign country. Being the Spanish TA at SFCC is my opportunity to live with a local family, experience the American culture, and improve my English. On the other hand, through this program I become a promoter of the Latin American identity conveying to others my culture and the way of thought specific to my country.
