Conrad Herwig's "Latin Side of Miles, 'Trane and Wayne"
With obvious homage to three of the greatest figures in the entire history of jazz:
Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Wayne Shorter, this seven-piece Salsa-Latin Jazz group
features:
- Conrad Herwig, Trombone/Leader
- Craig Handy, Saxophones
- Mike Rodriguez, Trumpet
- Bill O'Connell, Piano
- Luques Curtis, Bass
- Robby Ameen, Drums
- Pedrito Martinez, Congas/Percussion/Vocals
They will be performing music from Another Kind of Blue: The Latin Side of Miles,
Que Viva Coltrane Sketches of Spain Y Mas, and the Latin Side of Wayne Shorter.
The Grammy-nominated recordings of this group are a spectacular fusing of authentic, searing
salsa grooves with the harmonic textures and melodies of the three master's greatest compositions.
This incredible line-up of talent will surely result in a show to remember -- much like the
Poncho Sanchez experience of a few years ago!
