My name is Inga Jablonsky, and I am the SFCC German instructor. I'm native German,
born in Wuppertal, ca. 25 km from Cologne. Please review my degrees on the German Instructors page.
I do see myself as an ambassador to my native country and love to introduce my students
to all facets of modern German life. Classes are lively and fun! Every year, we
employ a young Teaching Assistant from
Justus Liebig University
(Justus-Liebig-Universität) Gießen, Germany, who team-teaches with me.
We also enjoy working in our 32 station International Language Laboratory with lots
of interactive software programs, DVDs and CD-ROMs. We also have access to a fully
electronic language classroom in Building 5, Room 101. The world is our playground!
What I often do regret is that students hardly have any chance to speak German outside
of class, so I make it my life objective to offer scholarships in Germany (for 6
students so far, each one went for a year, fully paid) and a Study-Abroad program
that costs less money than any other program available.
Furthermore, student have the opportunity to take part in a summer course at Justus
Liebig University, Gießen, Germany
By the way, about one third of the people living in Gießen are students! Among them, one
can find a lot of international students from all over the world. In other words, Gießen
has a lot to offer for young people and is definately worth a trip.
