- Installation Dates: April 11 - May 15, 2017
- Artist: Angela White - mixed media
Angela White is an artist whose work explores collaborations with the invisible and discarded. She engages and creates with a variety of media, recording and transforming the materials and information of her surroundings. By embracing and partnering with chance, she expands her practice beyond her individual and human intention.
Angela White received her MFA in Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She was a recipient of the Jacob K. Javits Fellowship in 2005. She has exhibited at Greg Kucera Gallery in Seattle, WA, Shoshana Wayne Gallery in Santa Monica, CA, and Kim Foster Gallery in New York, NY. Her work was included in an exhibition curated by Christian Marclay at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, PA. She was also part of the Wendy L. Moore Emerging Artist Series at the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio.

SFCC's Fine Art Gallery features exhibitions from regional, national and international artists, working in a variety of media,
providing a rich artistic experience for students and the Spokane community. Each year we provide a total of eight exhibitions.
Five are dedicated to emerging and established artists from around the country, with work ranging from traditional to non-traditional;
one exhibit shows the current art of SFCC’s own faculty; and two exhibits feature student art—students enrolled in Installation Workshop,
and graduating Fine Art students.
In conjunction with many of the exhibitions, we invite artists to lecture at SFCC and various sites in the community, in order to
provide a fuller understanding of their work. Please see our page on the Visiting Artist Lecture Series.
Funding for our gallery is provided by SFCC Associated Students, Art Gallery, Art Club and the Fine Arts Department. The Sahlin Foundation
provides additional funding for exhibitions and lectures. For further information, please contact Tom O’Day at (509) 533-3746 or
