This class focuses on a culture-general approach to learning about intercultural
communication. Students can learn through experience the skills necessary to improve their communication
across cultural boundaries. Students will have opportunities to interact with students and guests from
other cultures. Students also gain insight into their own culture and understand better the social
forces that help shape and maintain that culture.
This class fulfills the “D” (Diversity) requirement for the AA degree, and is the most popular
communication course on our campus.
